Celebrating the launch of the largest sports app for kids, Elanation kicked off a series of sports clinics for kids across Australia.
With the mission to give 1 billion kids 1 million skills, we are flying out Aussie pro athletes to bring them right to their community’s areas.
The first stop of the tour was in Newcastle with a fantastic turnout of more than 100 kids coming to Stockton Skatepark to practise scooter skills with Scooter World Champ Dylan Morrison.
Flying in from Melbourne, he was stoked to see so many kids turn up on a Monday after school. “It was amazing, days like these make me love my job. Putting a smile on so many kids’ faces is just priceless,” he said.
Kids aged between 3 and 18 years old shredded the ramp with Dylan doing tricks all the way from the bunny hop to some more advanced backflips.
“I know that the future of my sport is in good hands when I see 3-year-olds going down the bigger ramps and hearing them say they want to compete like me when they’re older,” Dylan said.
The Newcastle community loved having a champion in their area and was excited to get photos and a signature from Dylan at the end of the event.
“I drove my kids two hours to Stockton Skatepark to get them to see Dylan. We don’t always have easy access to quality coaching, so it’s great that Elanation brings athletes to more regional areas.” Cindy, mother of two boys said.
“The best thing is that my two sons can now learn from Dylan anywhere and anytime with the Elanation app – and this for less than one sports class per month, that’s fantastic,” she concluded.
Did your family miss Dylan Morrison in Newcastle? Head to the app store, download the Elanation app on iOS or Android, search for Dylan’s skills in the video library and get your kids start learning his awesome scooter tricks – anywhere, anytime.
